A recent dispute has arisen between Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Elon Musk, the owner of X (formerly Twitter), following Musk’s comments about the financial management of the ambitious Stargate AI infrastructure project in the United States.
In an interview with CNBC, Nadella responded to Musk’s allegations in a composed manner. Musk had accused the project of lacking adequate financial resources, as it involves companies like OpenAI, Oracle, Microsoft, and SoftBank. These companies are working together to build artificial intelligence infrastructure in the U.S. over the next four years, with the aim of creating millions of jobs.
According to Musk, the companies involved in the project have not raised sufficient funds, with SoftBank having only managed to raise less than $10 billion. However, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman rejected Musk’s claims and advised him to prioritize the country’s interests. In response, Musk said, “I know what’s good for the country, but that may not always be what’s best for your company.”
Nadella, in response to Musk’s comments, emphasized that the funds should not only be used to exaggerate AI but to develop technologies that would benefit the world .
