Intelligent Cranium Helmets has introduced an AI-powered motorcycle helmet named ‘IC-R’ to the market. This helmet offers riders enhanced safety and improved visibility. Equipped with features like accident detection and seamless bike connectivity, the IC-R aims to set new standards in rider protection.
The IC-R helmet is available in four models, each featuring a 240-degree vision reverse camera. Two rear cameras provide a wrap-around view, displayed just above the rider’s line of sight on a heads-up display (HUD). This setup allows riders to experience a comprehensive 360-degree view, combining their natural 120-degree field of vision with the helmet’s camera system.
A front-facing camera with 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second is included, capable of recording a 152-degree field of view. Similar to premium cars, the helmet features a warning system to alert riders if they drift out of their lane. In the event of an accident where the rider remains motionless for 15 seconds, the helmet is designed to automatically contact emergency services.
The HUD provides essential information without distracting the rider, including speed, navigation, and message notifications. For communication, the AI helmet offers duplex Bluetooth mesh connectivity, supporting up to 15 riders, along with mobile network integration and a wireless push-to-talk (PTT) system, facilitating group communication during rides.
The IC-R helmet is priced between NPR 2 lakh and NPR 2.5 lakh, depending on the selected model and features. This innovative product is expected to appeal to tech-savvy motorcyclists seeking advanced safety and connectivity options.
