The center is expected to be operational within a few months. Located near the Nepal Electricity Authority’s Matatirtha substation, the facility boasts an impressive IT power capacity of 3.5 MW and houses 520 racks.
Designed with advanced features, the data center includes earthquake-resistant infrastructure, robust security measures, and optimization for AI/ML applications. It is also Nepal’s first Tier III Edge Certified Green Facility, according to the company.
Looking ahead, Data World plans to establish state-of-the-art data centers in all seven provinces and densely populated areas across Nepal, ensuring high-quality infrastructure and services nationwide.
This development marks a significant milestone in Nepal’s digital infrastructure journey, promising to enhance data storage, processing, and security capabilities for businesses and organizations throughout the country.
